Carly for BMW Pro (Old Vers.) App Reviews

Whether you want to enable additional features on your car, register a new battery, or better target your diagnostics, this app is absolutely indispensable. The app paid for itself 3 times over the first time I used it. The Carly wifi connector is rock solid, and I have used it on numerous cars for months without any issue whatsoever.

The software is decent, full functionality, their coding forces you to buy their $70 wifi adaptor, even though its physically identical to other OBD wifi adapters less than a quarter of the price. My opinions will change when this "issue" is corrected. Very disappointing.

This app when used with the Carly Connected controller allows you to change programmable functions. Ive used it in our MINI Cooper R60 to change the speedo to true speed, the behavior of the interior lights, door and window remotes and more. Plus you can email the diagnostics to Carly for analysis.

This app is a breakthrough in terms of functionality and convenience. The ability to change configurations and to diagnose faults with your iPhone beats any alternatives on the market. Combine that with excellent customer service and 5 stars is not high enough.

Really impressed with how much this app can do. I love the fact that if I dont have my tablet with me to plug into my jb4, I can just plug in my obd and read any codes.

Before you purchase this app ask yourself if you are willing to take the risk to do expensive damage to your cars computer. Support has been unhelpful and hides behind email. Told me the problem I had was caused by a bug and then they disappeared. Its been approximately 10 days. Some functions do not work. Do you really want to pay to be a beta tester?

While the concept is great, the app itself crashes whenver it attempts to communicate with the Carly WiFi adapter, no matter what setting is used, restarts, etc. The Carly WiFi OBD Gen 2 adapter works fine with other apps on the same IOS device so the issue is with the Carly for BMW Pro app itself. A fix/update is needed for newer IOS devices.

After the latest update, and turning off my JB4, Carly works great! Easy to use and does exactly as advertised. Very nice.

Bought the official adapter and pro app from Carly for Bmw... I dont know why but for some reason not all codings work on my car/ however that is not the bad part... I hate to say that I have tried to contact their support many times and still have not heard from them besides their automated computer response. Beware because there is no money back... I would rather use NCS expert, its free !!!

Finally an app and product that does what it says it will do. I have bought two other OBD2 diagnostic units that promised to clear codes and did not do what they said. I had an airbag fault for my passenger side, I replaced the seat sensor and the belt tensioner and then tried to clear the code on my dash panel with no success on either of the two other units I bought. I then found the Carly for BMW and thought I would give it a try before spending $150 at the dealer. Much to my surprise the Carly for BMW cleared this code and 21 others. I could not be happier with the purchase of the unit and the app that is a separate purchase. As an added feature you can also do coding of your BMW with the unit. I have coded my BMW to have the digital speedometer and the daytime running lights on on my car. I would highly recommend this unit and app for any BMW owner. Its like having a diagnostic mechanic with you at all times.

Got pop up message once I reached the full circle saying Unable to downolad the app. Please fix it.

latest update breaks app, and when you delete and try to redownload and reinstall it stops, please fix

How can you sell an app for $45 and it crashes every time you want to connect it. "Logging my crashes" isnt helping me either.

Nice app, reads lots and lots of data and options. Works well on my 328i touring with the 2nd gen WiFi Dongle I ordered from Amazon. Had a slight hiccup getting it connected the first time, their email support was fast and polite. Recommended!

Crashes and drops connections regularly. When it does work the information is cryptic and doesnt reset fault codes. Ive requested a refund but sve your money and avoid this app.

Great app, connects to OBD II adapter easily, does everything I had hoped it would do.

The newest 22 Sep 16 version is an improvement for my 328i (F30). Coding capability has been expanded and now includes the REM module and the CIC/iDrive but not the ACSM module. Unfortunately in my case I cannot code the FEM since the dealer did a software update last week and Carly hasnt updated their software to support my cars new firmware. Hopefully theyll do it more quickly than the several months they projected when I told them about the firmware update. One other thing worthy of note. During my last session Carly pushed an update to my second generation OBD adapter. It seems like Carly is engaged and improving the app, albeit slowly.

Had to have my entire car reprogrammed, new battery and new Alt- oh, and 13 hours of diagnostics from dealership!!!!

This thing is amazing and a must have for every bmw owner.. App is quick and easy to learn to use. Very user friendly.. Read and delete codes just like the bmw dealer, from every single module in the car right from your car seat.. Code out and in all kind of cool items in the car like folding mirrors and euro hazard lights.. register a new battery just like the bmw dealers do right form your seat! All you need is your phone and the small obd adapter that can be stored in your glovebox for use anytime! This is a wish come true

I must to give carly 5 stars because its a wonderful application can save money. I hope next update can i reset my BMW X3 2006 service too. Many thanks for carly team. Thank you.
